It is what we leave behind that matters most.
Here are some of the organizations that I support. If you are searching for an opportunity to contribute, please take a moment to consider these.
B.C. Childrens Hospital Foundation
While listening to interviews of children and families from the hospital during a radiothon a number of years ago, I was so moved that I had to pull over to the side of the road. I called in an immediate pledge, but that didn’t seem enough. So for the past few years I’ve been donating time on the phones at that same radiothon and of course continuing to contribute to this very worthy cause. I can tell you categorically, that being able to be a very small cog in this very large wheel continues to be an incredibly meaningful experience for me every year.
In Their words;
Since 1982, BC Children’s Hospital Foundation has raised money to support the work of BC Children’s Hospital, the province’s only pediatric acute care hospital. Funds raised help pay for essentials such as equipment, research and education, benefiting the over 67,000 young patients from across British Columbia who depend on the Hospital each year.

Alano Club of Vancouver
Estimates are that 1 out of every 15 people are directly impacted by an alcoholic. This facility is a safe haven for those looking for another way.
In Their words;
The Alano Club of Vancouver is a non-profit association intended as a resource for Alcoholics Anonymous members and groups, as well as any individual who has a desire to stop drinking. Members from other 12-Step programs, especially the Al-Anon Family Groups, are also welcome.
The Alano Club of Vancouver was incorporated under the British Columbia Societies Act in 1950, although it actually came into existence three years earlier. From its’ earliest beginnings the Alano Club has been an important "stepping stone", for many recovering from the terrible effects of addiction, and has been an invaluable tool in helping them to become healthy and productive members of our community.
